1. Summary & Core Commitment

StardewTool does not track you, does not run analytics scripts, does not display advertisements, does not require user accounts, and does not upload or store your save files on any server.

We believe companion gaming tools should be fast, private utilities, not surveillance vectors.

2. Exactly What Code & Assets Are Loaded

In full transparency, this site loads only the following client resources:

  • Self-Hosted Fonts: All web fonts (Calistoga, Podkova, and Silkscreen) are self-hosted directly from our own origin through static build packages. No requests are made to Google Fonts CDN or any other external font provider. Your IP address is never logged by third-party font servers.
  • Minimal Cookie Consent Script (consent.js): We serve a small, self-contained cookie consent script. It uses your browser's local timezone heuristic (Intl.DateTimeFormat) with zero network calls or geo-lookup APIs to detect if you are visiting from the EEA/UK/Switzerland. If so, it provides a consent banner so you have complete control over future permissions.
  • Zero Third-Party Trackers: Today, there are no analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Cloudflare Web Analytics), no ad networks, no social media tracking widgets, and no bot verification services (no Turnstile or CAPTCHAs).

3. Future Save File Processing (100% Client-Side)

Upcoming features on StardewTool (such as the Perfection Tracker and Grange Display Solver) allow players to inspect farm data from their game save file.

All save-file parsing runs strictly client-side inside your browser:

  • Your save file is read locally via the browser's standard HTML5 File API.
  • The calculations, checklists, and inventory scans occur entirely in your device's memory.
  • Your save file and farm data are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers or sent to any third party.

4. Local Browser Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. We utilize your browser's standard localStorage only for essential client preferences:

  • st_theme: Remembers your display theme choice ("light" or "dark").
  • cc_v1: Remembers your cookie consent choice ("granted" or "denied") if you interact with the consent banner.

You can clear these values at any time through your browser's settings or by clicking the Cookie settings link in the footer.

5. Server Logs & Hosting

Our hosting infrastructure processes standard HTTP request headers (such as IP address and requested URL) strictly as needed to deliver static website files and defend against denial-of-service attacks. These ephemeral logs are not linked to individual identities and are never sold or shared.
